Marriage is often said to be hell. People make it out to be complete torture everyday. I say that is a load of crap. Marriage is different from being in a regular boyfriend girlfriend relationship. For instance, you have to make any and every decision together now. You have to take care of another person and always keep what they want in mind. Because of this people will feel trapped and like they are not living the way they want to. These people should have never been married. When the relationship is right, it is easy. You do still have to work at it, but it won’t feel like work because doing things for your partner brings you happiness. So I will say yes, being unhappy in marriage is common, but that is only certain in the case of the wrong people being together for the wrong reasons. If you want to be happy, you will be happy.
