There can be a number of disadvantages to moving in with your significant other, but the particular disadvantages really depend on a person’s priorities and living habits. For example, if you are a person who spent most of their adult life living alone, you may find it annoying that your significant other always wants to talk when he or she is living with you. Not having “alone” time is a big deal for some people, particularly if they are used to living alone. Because of this, many relationships are strained after the couple moves in together.

Financial issues are also a problem when some couples move in together. Even if they split the bills, there may still be arguments over how much money is spent on things like food and entertainment. One person may want a fancy cable package, while the other may not want a television at all. These are all things that couples may argue over. If they don’t feel that money is being spent the way they want it to, this can cause arguments.
