If someone asks you to have an affair, your response is typically based on the feelings you have towards your significant other. You may feel that an affair would be fun and exciting. In that case, you probably are bored by your relationship and want some excitement that you feel only an affair can provide. Before venturing to an affair, however, you need to realize that an affair will probably only lead to disappointment in yourself. If you are still with your significant other, chances are you like him or her for a reason, otherwise you would probably have broken up with them. Even if they do not find out about the affair, you will probably still feel ashamed with yourself if you end up cheating on your significant other.
This being said, you should really consider refusing to have an affair. Someone offering to have an affair with you may seem flattering, but you need to think about the long term effects of the affair before jumping at the chance.
